Recently Read Books

I pulled the plug on television at the end of 1992, which leaves plenty of time for reading.

As an experiment in essential living, long ago I started pulling the plug in order to live a pop culture hermitage & study American heritage.

Since 1992, that's meant dropping out of modern culture, which has meant shunning its components as anethema.

I dropped television decades ago and eschewed social media from its birth.

Much of what I gave up were things I loved, see the list below.

That's left plenty of time for reading real books, mostly based in the humanities.

Generally, I enjoy books that most others would not consider, such as long out-of-print books mostly based in obscurities.
