Great Music Doesn't Last
Some years back (before YouTube) I found a small-town radio station streaming all sorts of great American music from the middle of the 20th century.
This was a unique collection and I knew it wouldn't last - it was a matter of time until they'd get kicked off the air.
I wanted to capture as much of the music as I could before that happened - but hard drive space was at a premium in those days.
So as I've done with other projects of this nature I recorded the audio onto 6-hour VHS tapes, then digitized them years later for the Internet Archive.
