Interactive StoryMap: Life on the Mississippi

This interactive StoryMap shows highlights of journal entries from a 9-day open-ended Greyhound bus trip I took in 1994, going south and exploring bus stop towns along the Mississippi River.

This was a 100% spur of the moment, anti-destinationist trip which started in the lushest of tasteless pulchritude and ended for the most part in a near-empty topless bar.

Here is another StoryMap, featuring journal entries from the 3 1/2 days it took me to get to California from DC on an open-ended Greyhound bus trip I took around the USA in 1993.

I rode from coast to coast and back in 11 days, these are dispatches from that trip.
