Big Broadcast: Airchecks
Ed Walker brought back the golden days of radio.
He broadcast Sunday nights from 1990 through 2015 on WAMU FM in Washington, DC mostly from 7pm - 11pm.
Walker, one of the Joy Boys, ran his show every Sunday night for 25 years.
The Big Broadcast played shows such as Gunsmoke, Jack Benny, Dragnet, Lum 'n Abner, The Shadow, News of the Day & much more.
These were recorded by me live off the air onto whatever was handy at the time.
That's cassette tapes, VHS tapes, zip hard drives, flash drives and solid state drives.
This was all way before YouTube and the Internet Archive.
It was all eventually digitized and added to the Internet Archive.
Many shows are complete, but some aren't, FYI.
